Paul H. Goodwin – Playwright
Raucous Caucus Play: Yankee Doodle Candy
Paul, the author of Yankee Doodle Candy, was born on the Fourth of July (as was his grandfather) and grew up just north of Boston in a houseful of women, where equality was on everyone’s mind. Yankee Doodle Candy was first performed as part of his larger show Women & Love: 5 Short Plays at The Players’ Ring (Portsmouth, NH). Two of the other plays were semi-finalists in the Minnesota Shorts Play Festival (Chances) and 10 By 10 in the Triangle Festival, NC (Gwen & Evelyn) which was also part of the Boston Theater Marathon XI (published by Smith and Kraus). Many thanks to Box Wine Theatre for this opportunity.
