Raucous Caucus Play: Yankee Doodle Candy

img_0170Chris MacDonald is a Los Angeles native who holds a Bachelor’s degree in both Spanish and Theatre from Ohio Wesleyan University. Last year, Chris was a Production Assistant for The New Group, where he worked on critically acclaimed shows Mercury Fur directed by Scott Elliott, and Steve directed by Cynthia Nixon. He recently directed “Ant in Pant” by Malcolm MacDonald at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre. Chris is thrilled and honored to be directing the NYC debut of “Yankee Doodle Candy” by Paul H. Goodwin. He’d like to thank his actors for their talent and dedication, and he would also like to thank Box Wine Theatre for this incredible opportunity.

Over thirty of Seth Freeman’s plays of varying lengths have been presented and given awards at a hundred forty theaters and festivals around the world.  He has written for print (The New York Times, Southern Theatre Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, California Magazine, the Huffington Post, The Hill), screen and television, for which he created, most recently, the series Lincoln Heights. He contributes non-writing time to organizations dealing locally and globally with health care, education, women’s empowerment and human rights.
